One of the most commonly used devices in the world today is the GPS system. The reason for this is because many people lack the time that it takes to get to know the streets in their local surrounding. Also, an increasing amount of people enjoy the ability to travel all around the world and this places them in new environments.
My employment situation requires that I travel to new places around the United States on a monthly basis. With this being the case, I have used a lot of different GPS units and I have been disappointed by many of them. However, I find that Garmin produces very reliable products that have a lot of different uses. I recently purchased a Garmin 350 GPS unit and there are many great things about this GPS system.
The Garmin Nuvi 350 cost me $349 and it was well worth the money because the GPS has very accurate navigation. I have used this are the United States and Europe and I have never one been misguided by the unit. This is extremely important because I have bought many global positioning units and many times they are confusing to use and are not updated regularly. This can make driving around extremely complicated, many wrong turns and general confusion. Some of the Cheaper systems do not update their maps regularly, this makes a huge difference when you are driving in a new area that you do not know. Any road construction or new roads will completely through off the unit. This can be worse than not having a global positioning system at all.

This Garmin 350 Nuvi also has an mp3 player which is nice because it allows you to enjoy music while on the road. It also offers motorcycle navigation which is a nice feature because the GPS can base navigation on the speed that you are traveling. This unit also has the ability to speak street names and it does so clearly which makes navigation quick and easy. You can choose what type of accent you would like, I really like this option because Ive found that with other GPS devices they have a factory voice that is sometimes downright unpleasant and robotic to listen too.
The Garmin 350 device has a 3.5 inch screen with menus that are easy to use and do not lag at all. You can also store pictures on the device for viewing when you are on the road. The best feature of this device is the very fast ability to recalculate routes because when I am lost the device can redirect me to the right place in seconds. What I love about this device is that it is relatively inexpensive for all the features that it has, and it makes navigation easy. It is also very light and fits in my bag so that I can carry it onto a plane and place it into my rental car and be on my way. If you are looking for a GPS system that works great and is inexpensive then the Garmin Nuvi 350 is a great choice.
